The seminar — practical work devoted to a theme "Mass-media and the Corporate Social Responsibility" took place on September 18th, 2007 in Donetsk. The BBH Group in Ukraine became the partner of this action.
The main issues of the seminar were the role of mass-media in distribution of information about CSR activity of the leading companies of Ukraine, the growth of knowledge level of journalists in the field of corporate social responsibility, and also the ways to develop approaches to cooperation of mass-media and companies while highlighting the questions of CSR.
50 influential representatives of mass media, heads of regional administrations and representatives of large corporations participated in action. Through the day journalists discussed the questions devoted to CSR, took part in master-classes, listened to reports of experts and analyzed separate cases.
In the modern world the social responsibility of business becomes a more and more important component of stable development. Relationships between business, government and society change in Ukraine too. Thus, mass media should become a high-grade participant and a conductor of dialogue between business and authority.
