On September 13-14, the annual meeting of beer aficionados will take place in Kiev. During the Convention, the participants will be able to taste the products of Carlsberg Ukraine.
This year, for the second time the Khortitsa Island will become a Mecca for breweriana collectors. Along with beer lovers from different parts of Ukraine, the event is expected to be attended by beer fans from Moldova, Belarus and the Baltic states.
The fans of beer culture will have a tightly packed 2-day programme at the recreation centre of the Zaporozhye National University. Traditionally, the first day will feature an opening rally followed by one of the most favourite part of the programme, a breweriana exchange market. According to statistics from previous years, the most popular items of interest among collectors include beer labels, followed by corks and beer coasters.
Furthermore, the event will feature a long-awaited tasting of different beers, at the end of which the Best Beer of the Year will be announced. As in previous years, the first day will see an auction and various beer competitions. On the second day, September 14, collectors will continue to interact and exchange beer labels and join the closing ceremony of the Convention.
Specially for the breweriana collectors' event, the company released a limited edition Sk³fsky Stan beer with 8.0% ABV and 20.0% density. The previous conventions were held in Lvov, Krivoy Rog, Donetsk, Nikolaev and Kiev.
Dmitriy Nazarenko, organiser of the Convention: "We are delighted to see that Carlsberg Ukraine promotes beer culture and traditions in Ukraine. This year the Zaporozhye brewery celebrates its 40th anniversary, which was a deciding factor in choosing the venue of the 29th Convention of Breweriana Collectors. During such events beer aficionados from around the world cannot only share their beer-related articles, but also share their experiences, thus contributing to the development of the world's beer traditions."
